🎙 Grand Exit Episode 3: "Delegating Like Your Life Depends on It"

'Tis the season

To have real-er conversations!

Whether you’re home for the holidays or the holidays hit home for you in unexpected ways, we’re sending warmth, support, and permission to do things your way—the way that truly honors your beliefs and values.

We’re also presenting you with our latest episode: "Delegating Like Your Life Depends on It," featuring our first guest, Erin Rayne."

What’s This Episode About?

In this episode, we dive into:

  • The concept of a personal Chief of Staff: A non-professional yet deeply personal approach to delegating tasks during life’s most challenging moments.

  • Delegating when life depends on it: How to lean on others when you don’t have the bandwidth to manage everything yourself.

The Backstory

During Tamatha’s first round of treatment at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, she appointed three Chiefs of Staff to lead parts of her life that she couldn’t manage at the time. Erin Rayne was one of them.

Erin is the Founder of Good Culture Works, a coaching company that helps businesses thrive by prioritizing people. With over 25 years of management and HR experience, Erin knows that taking care of people leads to success—and she brought this same philosophy to her role as a Co-Chief of Staff for Tamatha.

This episode shares Erin’s insights and experiences and offers lessons you can apply to areas of your life that need love and attention when you’re stretched too thin. We hit on mindful living (and in some ways, mindful dying); embracing mortality with raw honesty (and plans!); friendship and productivity.

Special Thanks

This episode wouldn’t be possible without Erin, who brought her full heart and wisdom to this conversation.

Shout-outs also go to:

  • Laura and Phoebe: The other two Co-Chiefs of Staff who stepped up for Tamatha during this critical time.

  • You, our listeners: Thank you for being part of this journey and for receiving this labor of love that 2022 allowed us to share.

What’s Next?

We’ll be back on January 12 with Episode 4, so mark your calendars!

In the meantime, have a very happy New Year. Here’s to being alive for another lap around the sun!

🙏
