The Backstory: Where We’ve Been
Tamatha’s Journey
In late 2021, my oncologist told me I likely had until April 2022 to live. But here I am—still alive—and still pinching myself nearly every day. Since we last connected:
I watched my daughter Harper graduate and move to Parsons School of Design.
John (my husband of 28 years!) and I are now parents of an adult, redefining our relationship and rediscovering joy in simply being together.
I’ve embraced making daily choices about quality of living over quantity of life—often skipping treatment to prioritize what makes me feel most alive.
I can’t wait to share how being alive shapes my aliveness in this season of Grand Exit!
Chelsea’s Journey
Since our last episode, my dad moved to Colorado to live with me and my partner Peter. Becoming his primary caregiver has been a mix of challenges and blessings, teaching me:
How my identity evolves as life changes.
That legacy is defined by what we do with the roles we’re given.
The unique grief of letting go of expectations—and the beauty of unexpected new chapters.
Peter and I have also been on a baby-making journey that’s expanded my understanding of how our beliefs and wisdom shift as life changes. I’m eager to share these experiences—and the perspectives they’ve brought—in this new season.
What to Expect in Season 2
This season is about deep-diving into life’s big questions, embracing curiosity, and updating conversations that matter. Together, we’ll:
Laugh, reflect, and explore corners of the life-death-legacy continuum.
Consider how familiar questions hit differently the 1st, 2nd, or 50th time around.
Leave every episode feeling a little more alive.
We hope you’ll listen, share, and bring these conversations to your own life, with the people who matter most to you.
