Friends, family, listeners and those bold enough to be here -

This week, we have a thesis to share: If we believe that our legacy is a sum of all of our parts (and we do), then that must mean our legacy includes our biggest and brightest ideas…our beliefs...and how we piece them together.

We just launched a NEW episode (#7 of Season 2: 𝘈𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 Life: Creative Beliefs About What Comes Next) predicated on this, wherein we open the floor to listeners to share their ideas on what happens after life. And, honestly: it might be our favorite episode so far.

Tune in to explore the source of some vivid and inspiring beliefs about what happens after we die, and most importantly, their implications on living, now.

The backstory, unlocked

Chelsea: In June of 2020, early in the pandemic, we hosted a forum of conversation around people's creative musings, about what happens after we die. We recorded that conversation; It's saved on my computer in capital letters as, “BEST VIDEO EVER,” because it was the most illuminating conversation I think I've had in an open setting.

Two dozen people showed up and shared really vulnerably about what they thought happened after we die…how they thought their beliefs were formed…and then sort of probed one another in a playful inquisition (“Why do you think that?” “What's the source of that belief?”). It was so fascinating!

So, last Spring, in preparing to record Season 2, Tamatha and I went back to rewatch the video and re-open the floor to navigate the wonder and dynamism that comes from a conversation about musings about life after death. This episode is that!

Tamatha: We're sharing excerpts from that conversation as well as from a voicemail box where listeners left us their beliefs and contributions last Spring.

This episode is special for so many reasons - the depth and breadth of beliefs shared (down to the color of the walls in one instance!), and the sometimes-spiritual and sometimes-fantastical elements of people’s imaginings. Those who shared did so from a deeply personal place - never once saying, “this is what happens for all of us” and instead saying, “for me…” I mostly love what spending time thinking about what comes next offers in connection to conversations about life, death and legacy.

. . . .

This creative exchange with colorful pit-stops across the life-death-legacy continuum is in fact where legacy lives for us, and we can’t wait for you to listen and share what you think!
